magazine cover analysis 3

Music magazine cover analysis - Vibe

This cover if from the magazine “Vibe
This cover is aimed at men this is obvious straight away from the image on the front cover the fact that it is an over sexualised picture of a woman means that it would be more suited for men. The position she is in is very taunting and like she is looking down on your making you think that she wants you to ‘come and get her’. The main text next to the image says “Beyoncé strips down.” Suggesting the images on the front are only a snippet of what may be inside which is a way of pulling in your audience.
Vibe’s title is big and uses very simple, bold text. Red is a colour that sticks out to humans and is very easy to read, this makes the magazine much more noticeable. I also think that the colour goes well with the image because red shows passion and I think that the image is very passionate also the facial expressions given and the position she is standing in is only a tiny bit of why this is but mainly because of the fact that her body is wet and her cloths are stuck to her and are also see through.
The colour scheme of the cover is very simple, it is red, black and white the only strange thing about it is the same piece of text in orange telling you to download something I think that I like this because it stands out from all the other text and the image and makes you want to read it as it is trying to sell you something that is not the magazine.
At the top of the magazine it shows a few of the kind of artists that are features inside the magazine which should give you a good idea of the kind of thing that is inside the magazine and show you whether you want to buy it or not. This also pulls you into wanting to read the rest of the magazine if you see something that you like on the front of the magazine.
